The Position

Demand Planning and S&OP Manager

Summary

The Demand Planning and S&OP Manager manages sales and operation planning process on products to ensure alignment of functions and Top Management to delivery of mid to long-term business targets and customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute an S&OP process for the assigned group of minerals
  • Coordinates demand forecasting process, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information from Segment and finance, for multiple time horizons (18m rolling, year end, etc.
  • on assigned group of minerals

  • Ensure the accuracy of the demand forecast models for its perimeter
  • Manages the S&OP cycle, incl. pre-S&OP meetings (operations planning)and monthly S&OP meetings (executive decision making meeting)
  • Ensures data generated by functional stakeholders is suitable for S&OP process. Initiates improvement actions if necessary.
  • Analyze supply and demand issues. Prepares all data, metrics and scenarios to be discussed during S&OP meetings
  • Ensures identification, monitoring and reporting of assumptions, risks and opportunities related to the medium to long-term business targets. Escalate as appropriate
  • Writes S&OP meeting minutes, communicates key conclusions to stakeholders and performs follow-up of actions
  • Maintains key S&OP KPIs, incl. S&OP meeting attendance, forecasts accuracy, adherence to S&OP guidance from operations etc.
  • Continuously review the S&OP process to ensure it suits business needs and is up to date with best practices
  • Key interfaces : strong partnership to be built with (i) Segments leadership, (ii) product management,(iii) Supply Chain, (iii) Operations; (iv) Purchasing; (v) Finance
  • Title, position in the organization & grading

  • Reporting to : Business Planning Director
  • Location : preferably Greece, Athens or Milos

  • Project management
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic understanding
  • Others : strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, ability to propose solutions
  • Advocate for data integrity Ideal background / experience5+ years of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) management
