The Network Infrastructure Packet Core team is looking for a SW Engineer. Our team is involved in designing, developing and testing of the Cloud Mobility Manager (CMM) product that implements Cloud based SGSN / MME / AMF, the core elements of 3G / 4G / 5G networks.
As a member of Nokia’s CMM team, you will participate in the development of IOTA tool, a tool that simulates network peripherals and is heavily used to develop and automate functional test scenarios.
Simulation of telecom call flows involving external components to SGSN / MME / AMF is done based on telecom specifications and feature test requirements.
Cooperation with technical experts will be part of your everyday work to achieve the committed objectives, leading the evolution to 5G networks that our customers worldwide want.
Here is what an ordinary day at work would look like :
Participate in technical meetings with other senior engineers to understand product requirements
Analyze, estimate and report your development tasks
Develop support for new simulators and new call flow scenarios for new features of the NOKIA’s SGSN / MME / AMF product (CMM), based on telecom specifications and feature test requirements
Program in C / C++ / TCL / Python language the work assigned to you, providing working code with high quality standards within release milestones
Cooperate with peers and technical experts from feature development and feature testing to achieve the committed objectives
Your skills and experience
Have a BSc in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent degree
Have at least 1 year of experience in software development, preferably using C / C++
Want to contribute to high edge technology, you are innovative and eager to learn state-of-the-art technologies
Are an analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities and can-do attitude
Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
Are self-motivated and able to work independently by setting priorities in a geographically distributed team
Enjoy working in an inclusive environment, which appreciates diversity and embraces high ethical standards
We will also appreciate if you have :
Telecom experience and some knowledge Know-how on 3GPP protocols
Experience with TCL scripting or any other scripting language (Python, Bash)
Basic know-how on TCP / IP networking
Experience in scripting utilizing the Robot framework
Experience with Cloud and / or virtualization technologies such as OpenStack, VMware or KVM
Experience with Cloud Native technologies, Containers, Microservices and Kubernetes
