Business Intelligence Developer
SUMMARY :
The Business Intelligence Developer will work closely with a team to assist clients ranging from boutique regional businesses to large, publicly traded companies implementing agile solutions for existing clients.
This position works closely with the Power BI and Data Warehouse Automation Implementation team
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following :
Create BI solutions using modern data warehouse automation (DWA) tool
Construct T-SQL and MDX queries
Azure Data Factory and Power BI knowledge would be beneficial
Perform onsite trainings, workshops and analytical sessions with clients around Europe and US
Consult with clients and prospects to determine their needs and then outline a detailed plan to implement the solutions
Explain complex technical concepts to non-technical people in a clear manner
Construct and deliver reports to end users
Work on multiple projects concurrently
Create developer level documentation for features.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU NEED :
To have 2-3 years of experience writing Microsoft T-SQL code on regular basis
At least 1-2 years of professional experience within BI / Reporting / Analytics / Visualization.
Availability to travel (2 / 3 times a month for 2-3 days)
Knowledge and understanding of advanced T- SQL querying and techniques (CTE, Cross Apply, Window Functions, UDF, Stored Procedures, etc)
Strong knowledge and understanding of SSIS packages development
Understanding of Analysis Services and OLAP
Good sense of technical principles & talent in solving issues
Basic knowledge of performance optimization (indexing, partitioning)
Proven track record with gathering business requirements for reporting solutions
Very good command of English.
Good sense of humour
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
NAV or other ERP system structures knowledge would be an asset
Experience working within a Scrum / Agile environment is a plus
Proven accounting and finance business knowledge
Experience in performing trainings
