The successful candidate will be involved in the design and development of broadband digital wireless modems focusing on digital design and verification.
He / she will join a multi-discipline team working on the design of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless microwave and millimeter wave state of the art products for access / backhaul and fronthaul applications.
His / her responsibilities will include hardware Description Language (VHDL) development and implementation, as well as functional verification of implementation on target hardware platforms.
He needs to collaborate with DSP engineers in order to implement the signal processing algorithms in an efficient manner using the DSP resources available in a given device (FPGA or ASIC).
The job responsibilities involve VHDL development, implementation, functional simulation and verification on target hardware platforms.
BSc in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar. (MSc / PhD is considered a plus)
Experience with RTL design (proficient with VHDL) and simulation.
Excellent skills in FPGA tool usage for synthesis, targeting and Static Time Analysis (ALTERA / INTEL or XILINX)
Experience in ASIC design tool usage for synthesis, targeting and Static Time Analysis.
Understanding of signal processing implementation building blocks (e.g. adder / multiplier architectures, optimal digital structures).
Excellent use of English language.
Fulfilled military obligations, where applicable.
Lab experience and troubleshooting skills
Experience working with Matlab / Simulink / C
Background on wireless communication theory and digital signal processing theory.
Understanding of broadband wireless transceiver architectures.
Experience working on Linux
