Job Description
Do you love Game Client Development? We are seeking a passionate, experienced individual to be our Head of Game Client Development and join us on our journey to revolutionise how we engineer our game clients and underpinning framework technologies.
You will have extensive experience of developing games for web / mobile technologies, have led teams and team of teams within a matrix structure, put in place processes and practices promoting efficient engineering with high levels of quality and performance confidence.
What will you do?
Own our approach to engineering industry leading game clients, evolving our agile journey.
Collaborate with Head of Platform / Engine Engineering, Head of QA, and Head of Art to optimise and streamline whole game development approaches.
Partner with Head of QA to build out game client test automation capability.
Partner with our Studio Managers to shape career development of our client developers.
Ensuring game clients meet functional, non-functional, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Reduce game client quality variance.
Own iOS bundling and readiness process, driving towards an automated, traceable procedure.
Own ISO27001 security and compliance within game client context.
Evolve our configuration management and DevOps approach to game client engineering and deployment / distribution.
Identify and escalate issues or areas that need improvement.
Mentor Game Client Technical Leads across our studios.
Drive TDD within our game client framework development.
Own the creation and maintenance of a living knowledge base of our Game Client framework.
Establish and evolve Game Client engineering processes and controls, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices and corresponding metrics to ensure functional and non-functional goals are met with variance reduction.

Qualifications
Experience leading and collaborating with geographically distributed teams.
Experience of HTML5, Typescript based game client development.
Experience of defining and consuming APIs.
Experience with SDKs, game client development tools and related release processes
Expertise in agile best practices
Experience creating and scaling internal development platforms, build environment and the tools to improve the efficiency of the release process
An ability to influence both within and outside your reporting line.
