About the Opportunity :

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Consumer Healthcare team as our Global Head of Content & Influencer Strategy where you will be responsible for leading and establishing the vision, operational foundations including Roles & Responsibilities, and economics for best-in-class management and execution of Owned and Earned media (Web content, Social content, Influencers and PR, others TBD) for Sanofi CHC to become a Fast Moving Consumer Healthcare company with best in class consumer engagement.

So far Sanofi CHC has been focused on maximizing the impact of its Paid Media investment, we want now to significantly accelerate consumer engagement in our core business, and in particular improve the quality of our Owned and Earned approach and assets to better engage, convert and retain consumers than competition and as a result drive business impact in the most efficient way and leapfrog competition.

This role reports into the Global Head Integrated Consumer Engagement and is part of the Consumer & Customer Experience Team (CCX).

We have recently announced an exciting 18-24 month journey to create a fully standalone CHC business (separating the Business Unit from our Pharma company heritage, processes etc), as we target to create the best FAST MOVING CONSUMER HEALTH company, which will require us to retain, attract and grow the best leaders in our industry.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Establishing the North Star (destination) for Sanofi CHC considering best practices seen and adopted by more advanced industries and brands.
  • Running a fast gap analysis to assess Sanofi CHC state of play against North Star and direct competitors, and to define the short to mid-term potential wins for Owned and Earned by category, focusing on our priority markets and / or brands.
  • Developing concrete execution plan for Owned on priority businesses working with brand managers and markets - driving best operational approach including defining internal and external resources required, with a hands-on behavior to deliver engaging content / copy writing at the best cost, with agility and speed.
  • a. This involves defining how to best scale the production of assets and articles which could be used by different brands (e.

    g. food images for digestive wellness brands and allergy brands) and on different platforms.b. This might also involve setting up a new operational model such as contracting directly with copy writers and creating an in-house content studio to quickly produce content for websites and social accounts versus going systematically through an agency.

  • Supporting Sanofi CHC Must Wins on their Influencer and PR / event activation by defining the playbook of How-To develop a strong strategy (from Advocacy to Celebrities) and execute it including defining what a good KOL / Influencer’s post looks like, thanks to a strong understanding of the mechanics and influencer marketing platforms, strong connections to the influencers community and PR / event management.
  • Defining and partnering with the Mex team on the upskilling plan and training content to raise marketers’ experience in Owned and Earned, in harmony with Paid.
  • Leading the execution of the overall recommended Owned and Earned plan in partnership with the relevant central and local brand teams.
  • Tracking competition on defined elements.
  • Recommending the right set of economics / KPIs and measurement methodologies in partnership with the analytics team to track the performance of Owned and Earned activities in comparison to Paid media activities (e.
  • g. ROI, production costs vs Reach, cost of engagement vs benchmarks..) . This will help the business improve its allocation of investment to drive sales.

  • Recommending the tools to enable the execution of the strategy as required and for global consistency.
  • About You :

    To excel in this role, you will need to have :

  • Education : BA / BS or equivalent from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Proven experience in agency or advertiser including 3 years as Content manager, Social media strategist or Influencer manager with proven success in building and executing programs.
  • Professional skills :

  • Deep understanding of digital platforms and the digital ecosystem in terms of websites / PR / Advertising including brand building and lead generation techniques using SEO and SEM, Social and Influencer.
  • Strong understanding of KPI settings and measurement (brand and sales lift, media & content optimisation).
  • Experience in building and leading an agile team.
  • Strong project management skills (e.g., building & rigorously tracking work plan).
  • Delivering results working effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Experienced to work within global teams.
  • Managing & influencing senior stakeholders at global and local level.
  • Significant experience communicating technical material to range of audiences, including brands, corporate leadership, technology partners, and agencies.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) to share expertise, coach digital leads on the job, generate excitement and build active community.
  • International experience : working outside of own cultural environment; across multiple countries.
  • Language skills :

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Other language is a plus.
