Position title : Software / Test Engineer (GNSS Safety-Critical Products)

Are you excited about autonomous vehicle technologies, navigation, and safety software? Then this opportunity is for you! We are looking for a Software Verification Engineer for development of Functional Safety Products, ideally with experience in GNSS technology and Embedded Software.

You will be part of a Safety GNSS Embedded Software Development team, which is the core Embedded Software team of our Safety-Critical Products.

You will be responsible for SW requirements review / approval, SW test specification according to those SW requirements and SW test execution at the unit and SW system levels.

Your role will be to co-develop SW requirements ensuring their verifiability, design and build our software verification and Continuous Integration (CI) infrastructure, perform tests and identify and help in the resolution of software issues.

You will closely collaborate with the Safety GNSS Systems Engineering team, the Verification and Validation team, our external development partners, as well as other experts in IT and CI within u-blox.

You will be located in Athens (GR) and you will have daily cooperation with colleagues in Switzerland, Germany, Finland as well as our development partners worldwide.

This cooperation will include occasional

travelling to GNSS related u-blox offices in Europe.

The role is located in Athens (GR).

Your Responsibilities :

  • Participate in SW requirements development, focusing on their verifiability aspect
  • Design and implement test cases for safety critical software
  • Design and build our test automation and Continuous Integration infrastructure
  • Execute and review test results, tracing them to the corresponding requirements and identifying defects, bugs and non-compliances
  • Work with other developers to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain the verification infrastructure, in its HW and SW components
  • Your Skills / Experience / Requirements :

  • Proven experience as Software Verification Engineer
  • University degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Proven experience with Python, Perl and / or Matlab
  • Proven experience with Jenkins and / or Gitlab CI
  • Proven experience with version control systems, especially Git
  • Good understanding of C / C++
  • Excellent documentation skill, especially with technical specifications
  • Experience with issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Bugzilla)
  • Ability to work and communicate in an international environment
  • Fluently in English, both written and spoken
  • EU citizen or holder of a valid work permit for Greece
  • Bonus Point :

  • Experience with static analysis tools (e.g. Coverity, Absint, Polyspace)
  • Experience with development according to safety standards (e.g. ISO-26262) and formal certification process
  • Experience with Automotive SPICE processes
  • Experience with unit testing concepts and tools (e.g. Cantata)
  • Ability / experience with HW debuggers (e.g. Lauterbach, ARM Debugger) and ARM Coresight Components
  • Experience with lab tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers
  • Understanding of schematics and test boards
  • Requirements management tools (e.g. SystemWeaver, Jama, JIRA, IBM Doors, or others)
