Role purpose :

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for building and maintain the IT Project Portfolio and yearly IT Roadmap. Working closely with Demand Management and Delivery teams as well as the Agile Portfolio Manager for synchronization on new demand, available capacity and progress to provide a holistic view.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

  • Maintain the view of the entire portfolio, synchronize it with agile portfolio
  • Facilitate the execution & synchronisation of product roadmaps (i.e. facilitate prioritisation at portfolio level).
  • Run Bi Modal demand process (demand gathering and prioritization). Safeguard and facilitate the established process as well as working on further improvements
  • Lead in collaboration with Agile Portfolio manager the design of a lean portfolio across company including also the demand from and towards agile teams (squads)
  • Build and maintain KPIs and metrics related to IT portfolio to monitor IT performance. Support IT to build a clear capacity planning
  • Support release and environment management. Track and report on release progress and manage risks
  • Support IT Governance team on group initiatives and KPIs related to IT performance, vendor management etc.
  • Functional Skills, Credentials & Experience :

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field
  • Three or more years’ experience in coordinating and delivering major projects and programs
  • Extensive experience in managing dependencies effectively across multiple delivery teams, meeting deadlines and business outcome objectives
  • Formal training and / or certification in Scaled Agile Framework or similar preferred
  • Professional experience and knowledge of digital and Telecommunications industries strongly preferred

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills, with the ability to persuade, negotiate and influence delivery teams & senior executives
  • Strong business acumen, and in depth understanding of the contribution of business outcomes to the wider digital business strategy and roadmap
  • Ability to function with a high degree of autonomy
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with both technical and business audiences
  • Understanding of both the current Telecommunications and digital services market
  • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple balls
