Titan Cement Company is currently looking for a Green Process Expert (GPE). The role is placed within Group Innovation & Technology, Group Research, Innovation & Quality Department (GRIQ) and is located in Kamari Plant, Greece .
The role will lie in developing and managing innovative decarbonization activities, emphasizing technical and managerial leadership for Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage, hydrogen initiatives, and electrification.
In addition, the GPE aims to identify decarbonization opportunities for the cement industry, evaluate novel technologies, plan new decarbonization activities, and drive innovative projects to high technology readiness levels.
What you will be doing :
Lead, coordinate and support techno-economic evaluation and industrial deployment of new processes with strong decarbonization potential for cement manufacturing, mainly related to Carbon Capture Utilization and / or Sequestration (CCU / S), hydrogen technologies, and electrification.
Collaborate with external partners and relevant stakeholders, including OEM’s, technology and service providers, Start-Ups, academic collaborators, and technology experts, to assess solutions in the emerging landscape of decarbonization technologies, identify opportunities and risks, and facilitate knowledge and technology transfer.
Structure, coordinate, and contribute to preparing strategy proposals for implementing industrial solutions for decarbonizing cement manufacturing, considering technology appropriateness, decarbonization potential, budgetary requirements, and financing opportunities.
Coordinate and support activities related to the industrial deployment of processes with strong decarbonization potential, from the pilot- to full-scale, across different locations of interest for TITAN Cement Group.
Provide specialist expertise and support to collect, analyze, interpret and manage the process and other data, aiming to implement best practices and best available technologies for decarbonizing cement manufacturing.
Schedule, coordinate, and conduct training sessions on scientific and technological developments.
Experience & Qualifications :
Ph.D. Diploma in Engineering or Science (preferably in Chemical / Industrial / Materials or Metallurgical Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry);
proven working experience of at least four years in relevant research or industrial position. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in one of the above fields with proven working experience of at least eight years in relevant industrial or research positions.
Technical proficiency in industrial processes related to decarbonization, with a preference for hands-on experience in cement manufacturing.
Demonstrated capacity in project management, processes, and tools, including planning and tracking progress, timelines, and budgets.
Technology-savvy, with an ability to master industrial software applications.
Working experience with relevant process software will be considered a plus.
Fluency in Greek and English (written and verbal at a professional corporate level) and at least one other EU language is mandatory.
International travel within the EU and other destinations will be required (estimated up to 15% of the time).
