The waiter is the most important chapter in the operation of a restaurant. The duties of a waiter are not limited to transporting drinks and food to the customer but to his general satisfaction through the meal experience.
Provides an unforgettable service experience to each customer individually.
Makes the customer feel important and welcome in the restaurant.
Be sure of the temperature of the food, whether hot or cold.
Always be within the time allowed for service.
Knows the menu, how to present it and to suggest when asked.
Knows the list of wines and drinks, production details and combination of drinks / wines with food.
To help in the general cleanliness and image of the restaurant.
Provides beverage service.
Comply with the operating standards of the restaurant.
Knows POS operating systems.
Communicates with the kitchen for the proper operation of the restaurant.
Is able to anticipate any customer needs e.g. Older customers are more likely to need something different in their food.
To know the nutritional peculiarities of the customers and to propose solutions by communicating with the kitchen.
