About the role

The Product Manager's role at Beat is to :

  • Articulate what a winning product looks like.
  • Rally the team to build it.
  • Iterate on it until they get it right.
  • We’re looking for a Product Manager to lead the development of features, systems and automations for loyalty & retention of users, both drivers and passengers, as well as the evolution of this product domain and its team’s structure.

    As a Product Manager for Loyalty Systems you’ll work with a team of incredibly talented engineers, data scientists, and designers to build tools and technology that provide the best solutions in a real-time, dynamic, supply / demand driven marketplace.

    You will also work closely with the Growth and Operation departments to understand the needs and challenges of each market.

    The teams in this product domain will be responsible for highly visible features of the passenger and driver app.

    You will also take part in strategic decision-making and will be responsible for your teams’ roadmap and backlog, prioritizing what goes into production while focussing on growing user retention.

    The ideal candidate has a metric driven approach to decisions and in-depth knowledge of how to use and evolve various KPIs set by the company.

    What you'll do day in day out :

  • Build and own the product roadmap for the Loyalty systems, segmentation and offerings for our users, both drivers and passengers.
  • Define a narrative of how that roadmap aligns with company-level and regional business priorities.

  • Act as the ambassador for the team’s projects, both internally and externally, as well as the primary technical contact for all queries related to team projects and systems.
  • Talk to users, marketing and local market operations to discover needs, pain points and ways in which technology can address issues or opportunities of innovation.
  • Develop scope documents and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of Epics / User stories for implementation.
  • Drive innovation, research, design and planning of entirely new systems, features and possibly products. Challenge your cross-functional team to think boldly and channel that energy into concrete action.
  • Clearly communicate the totality of your work to a broad spectrum of audiences including executives, fellow product teams, stakeholders and other decision-makers across Beat.
  • Stay up to date with the innovations of the industry. Vigilantly follow the developments of the ride-hailing and ride-sharing markets.
  • Always improve and scale the organization. Implement continuous enhancements in the engineering organization and the product management process.
  • Your background :

  • At least 7 years of experience as a product manager, engineering manager, or technical leader and at least 3 years of those in Loyalty related projects.
  • A keen sense of user empathy combined with the ability to transform complex data and customer insights into a prioritized roadmap.
  • Αbility to understand what's best for the user while balancing the needs of the business.
  • Discover, collaborate and manage external vendors and third party integrations for Beat’s Loyalty systems and schemes.
  • Solid growth skills, like data analysis, A / B testing, user research and storytelling. Results and metrics-oriented. Focused on building businesses, not features.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies, a plus. We specifically employ well-defined variations on Scrum and Kanban throughout Beat Engineering.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
