Job Description and Responsibilities

Job Description

The Cybersource European indirect team is a new team that’s role is to make CyberSource the rails on which the European Payment Industry innovates and grows upon.

We are looking to change the foundations of the industry and empower companies to grow faster and innovate quicker.

We are looking for a hungry, motivated individual that wants to drive this change. They will join the indirect team and build the strategic long-term partnerships that will achieve Cybersource’s goals.

The target audience are payment providers such as Acquirers, Payment Gateways, Payment Technology Providers, and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) within the South Eastern European region.

This is a specialist sales role that requires a high degree of commercial acumen, business maturity and self-motivation.

A proven track record in sales with qualified success in accretive revenue strategies; including pipeline conversion and enhanced time to revenue.

English and a second language (Greek, Turkish, Croatian or Romanian) are a must.


The role is critical to the development of the Cybersource Payment Platform within Europe and will be required to execute on the EU strategy that employs the Visa IDDEA selling methodology to deliver commercial growth to the region.

They will be responsible for :

  • Identifying potential resellers of Cybersource technology and create a robust pipeline of opportunity
  • Partnering closely with the Visa SEE MS&A team and to identify new Cybersource reseller opportunities
  • Participating in Go-to-Market planning efforts to develop and execute on demand generation, structured sales acceleration programs and activities.
  • Leverage Visa’s sales IDDEA methodology to identify new growth opportunities with prospects
  • Use strong commercial acumen that provides client insight / performance / risks and key opportunity.
  • Pro-actively engage with C-Level executives to drive the promotion of Cybersource technology and influence partner strategies for merchant acquisition, payment volume growth and adoption of value added services
  • Identify SWOT faced by the by potential clients, create initiatives that will solve our mutual business objectives, identify and deploy Visa & Cybersource solutions and resources to support the deepening of the relationship
  • Use the IDDEA artefacts and methodology to drive sales and convert opportunities into deals
  • Deliver multi-year reseller contracts enabling partners to resell, use and promote the Cybersource platform
  • Accurately forecast opportunity bookings through the tools provided by Visa (such as salesforce and MSD)
  • Accurately forecasting revenue growth through the tools provided by Visa (such as salesforce and MSD)
  • Developing and maintaining account plans to report on commercial progress to Cybersource and Visa execs
  • Desired Qualities

    Cybersource is looking to develop the best commercial team in Europe. The individual in this role will deliver sales excellence as well as a depth of technical and problem-solving skills that will deliver solutions that are the foundations of our partners growth.

    We are looking for experienced candidates with strong Sales and Account Management experience with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales.

    Other attributes include :

  • Demonstratable ability to Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., marketing, analytics, risk, innovation) and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa’s Cybersource’s resources
  • Demonstratable ability to consult and work closely with a client’s C-level executives to present Visa Cybersource’s strategic vision and negotiate effectively on behalf of the company
  • Ability to work independently within a complex and competitive environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to stakeholders and to juggle multiple initiatives at once
  • Strong sales financial acumen related to deal structures and value to execution to the partner ecosystem.
  • Experience of managing multiple internal stake holders to deliver commercial goals
  • Ability to drive a collaborative culture with key cross functional stakeholders
  • High level of problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box
  • Project management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to travel globally if required
  • Other good to have’s

  • Extensive knowledge of the payments and fraud industry along with a good understanding of the payments landscape in Europe
  • Experience working with Technology Platform providers (eg SAP, Salesforce, Magento, Oracle Commerce Tools etc) and Acquiring banks
  • Experience selling technical products to acquirers, ISVs, PSPs and or Platforms.
  • Experience of managing multiple internal stake holders to deliver commercial goals
