Optimal HR Group on behalf of its client, a leading Media Group, is looking for a highly promising and dynamic Senior Financial Analyst.
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for driving Annual Budget process in cooperation with all involved parties, reporting on financial performance and preparation for monthly leadership reviews on Management Information System (MIS) standards and performing financial forecasting & reporting on a quarterly basis.
Drive annual budget process in cooperation with all involved parties for the companies of responsibility
Upload approved budget in SAP system; perform shifts if needed, to support day to day operational requirements and avoid cost overruns
Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support
Close MIS results on a monthly basis, evaluate financial performance by comparing / analyzing actual results vs plans / forecasts, prepare MIS report for management review and decision making (P&Ls, Balance Sheets, Cash Flows and detailed tables of key financials important per Business Unit)
Monitor financial and KPIs performance against plan and prepare intra monthly forecasts
Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
Prepare reports, business plans, firms and capital expenditures valuations
Support Business Unit managers in understanding the monthly results and justify variances; giving the right suggestions on improving results
Assist on business planning and strategic processes by analysing : Financial data, track operational metrics and create financial models for decision support Past results, perform variance analysis;
identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements Predictions as a big part of their work; predict any future financial losses or gains based on the data available to them
Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
Identify and drive process improvements, including creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and Excel dashboards
Increase productivity by developing automated reporting / forecasting tools
Supervise Junior Financial Analysts and support their development and day to day work
Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Risk Analysis, Business Administration or Accounting
At least 4 years of proven professional experience in a similar position
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel) & SAP Systems. Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
High proficiency with financial modelling & techniques
Strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
Familiarity with data query / data management tools (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
Ability to read and understand a balance sheet, cash flow, income statements, budget
Excellent analytical skills with ability to make sound judgment and decisions
Strong organization, time-management, communication & people management skills
