GRNET National Infrastructures for Research and Technology, provides networking and cloud computing services to academic and research institutions, to educational bodies at all levels, and to agencies of the public, broader public and private sector.

It is responsible for promoting and disseminating network and computing technologies and applications, as well as for promoting and implementing Greeces Digital Transformation goals.

Thus, GRNET leverages the educational and research activity in the country, towards the development of applied and technological research in the fields of telecommunication networks and computing services.

GRNET holds a key role as the coordinator of all e-infrastructures in Education and Research. With twenty-plus years experience in the fields of advanced network, cloud computing and IT infrastructures and services, and significant international presence, GRNET shall advise the Ministry of Digital Governance on issues relating to the design of advanced information systems and infrastructures.

GRNET develops synergies with other agencies which provide digital services in the Greek public sector, by sharing best practices and know-how on advanced information systems and it represents the national research and technological community within the European Unions Research Infrastructures.

GRNET contributes to the countrys Digital Transformation via in-depth analysis, technological studies, standard solutions and specialized know-how, serving at the same time hundreds of thousands of users on a daily basis in the strategic fields of Public Administration, Education, Research, Health and Culture.

GRNET is also the National Research and Education Network (NREN).

We have multiple technical teams focusing on various areas e.g. :

  • devops
  • UI / web application development
  • API / business logic development
  • technological capabilities development
  • Our technical teams handle an increasingly diverse workload, yet we are excited about technology and very motivated about the impact of the products we make.

    However, in order to meet our goals, we need to our teams in size and scope. We need capable and experienced team managers to help us organize our teams to accommodate this growth.


    Specifically, we seek team managers that will take on the following responsibilities :

    Organize the teams daily function for work, communications, team rituals, and external events.

    Keep the time schedule of the team

  • Coordinate the negotiations between team and stakeholders for the allocation of the teams time.
  • Monitor and promote the well-being of team members and of the team as a whole, removing distractions and obstacles to focus and productivity.
  • Coordinate the participation of the team as a function in broader processes within the organization.
  • Monitor and help team members with administrative obligations and policy conformance.
  • Listen to team members feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
  • Design solutions that are compatible with the strategic direction of the company.
  • Develop and implement a timeline to achieve targets.
  • Conduct team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations
  • Maintain positive relationships and ensure regular and effective communication with stakeholders
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to problems through innovative means.
  • Enable communication between all project stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Requirements

  • 4+ years of proven working experience as a Team Manager.
  • Will be considered a plus :

  • Relevant experience in roles such as a Technical Project Manager, Technical Team Leader
  • Proven capability facilitating projects in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written knowledge of English
