The Office of Housing & Residential Services is seeking a candidate for the position of Residential Services Staff.
Residing in the residence complex is imperative for this position (apartment to be provided)
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree preferably in a subject area relevant to Hospitality management.
At least two years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in the English language both oral and written.
Fluent in IT skills (Microsoft Office, etc.).
Excellent customer service and decision making skills.
Excellent administration skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities :
Provide a friendly, professional and customer orientated frontline service to students.
Day to day management of the College residences to ensure that their condition is maintained (room inspections and involvement in end of semester room checks, efficient identification and reporting of maintenance and cleaning issues, compliance with health and safety regulations, liaison with Facilities Maintenance and Cleaning to ensure maintenance of the asset).
Working to ensure residents’ understanding of and compliance with residence terms and conditions.
Dealing with all accommodation enquiries and helping resolve any problems or complaints.
Liaison and team working with College staff to promote well-being of students and prevent anti-social or risky behaviors.
On occasion liaison with other departments to help resolve issues.
Enforce safety and security policies and procedures, provide early feedback or potential risks.
Communicate daily issues to Maintenance and ensure timely resolution of relevant issues.
Work cooperatively with students to ensure an environment that displays respect for the rights and privacy of others and promotes consideration of the individual.
Disseminate and communicate all announcements and policies of the residential program to the residential community.
Ensure that apartments and the residence complex remain thoroughly clean and that an accurate inventory of all residence life storage rooms and updated equipment is maintained.
Fulfil all required administrative tasks including various reports.
Participate (on certain occasions) in excursions and other programmed outings of study abroad students.
Promote residences to prospects and their families during site visits.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
