We are looking for a Firmware Engineer who will be responsible for the architecture, design and development of the next generation of coffee machine firmware libraries, according to the design specifications released by Lavazza.
The Firmware Engineer will report to the Electronic Design Manager in the Coffee Machines and Systems Development department.
What you’ll be doing :
Manage the assigned projects autonomously, coordinating the Firmware development and qualification activities of new projects
Check the feasibility of assigned projects and supervise the individual annexed activities, evaluating costs, timing and carrying out the technical specifications;
Interfacing directly with Suppliers and with the internal corporate bodies (sales, production, quality, management), with a view to the correct execution of activities.
Analysis of the requirements, architecture definition, design and debug of managed memories products firmware.
Developing source code targeting the embedded system.
Performing effective analysis of functional issues or performance profiling with the firmware and hardware in test environments or target host systems.
Contribute to process improvements to ensure firmware quality and time-to-market.
To be successful in this role you’ll need to have :
Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics or equivalent is required
At least 5 years of experience as Firmware Design engineer for home appliance or automotive industry
At least 3+ years’ experience in FW embedded design and Real Time Operating Systems
Knowledge of 32bit ARM / Cortex microprocessor platforms and 8bit STMicroelectronics microcontrollers
Knowledge of Espressif ESP32 and ESP32-S3 series platform and development tools
Experience working with IAR, ECLIPSE, Matlab, Simulink design environments
Ability to read schematics and knowledge of the main interfaces of the microprocessor (UART, I2C, SPI)
Excellent knowledge of technical English
Problem solving skills
Ability to work in complex scenarios.
