Microsoft Teams has already transformed the way that millions of users chat, collaborate, meet, and have fun. We are looking for a creative and driven Senior Software Engineer to help us bring the next wave of amazing features in front of our customers.

As an engineer on the Android Engineering team, you’ll work alongside industry-leading designers and product managers across Microsoft to help create ground-breaking user experiences.

We thrive on technical challenges and building user interactions the world hasn’t seen before. There is incredible opportunity to be part of the entire lifecycle of building new products : from early conception of very rough ideas, to using customer feedback to iterate and improve what you’ve built.

Responsibilities :

Build human-centric UX.

Focus on developing user experiences, with the option to jump in and solve hard problems across the entire stack.

Drive technical investments from the early exploration of ideas to delivering integral parts of our stack, balancing short-term goals with long-term architectural vision.

Mentor others on the team to help them grow as engineers across many dimensions.

Lead technical initiatives or feature teams by partnering with teammates across Design, Product, Data Science, and Backend Engineering to drive sophisticated features from start to finish.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

5+ years of experience writing Android production software.

1 + years with Kotlin.

Preffered Qualifications :

You have a BS / MS in Computer Science or Equivalent.

Strong development skills in Java, Kotlin and the Android SDK.

An app that you have launched and is available on the play store.

Strong general development skills.

Passion for well-crafted code.

You thrive in an enviornment that tests ideas by building.

Nice to have is experience in oroduction with React Native.

We are looking for someone who enjoys creating powerful experiences that are simple and intuitive for users. Having a strong systems-level thinking and can reason technically across an entire product.

Naturally curious about technologies, takes initiative to dive in, asks questions and finds solutions. Someone who has a track record of continous learning and growing whtin a role.
