Aeolus Robotics Inc. is seeking skilled and motivated roboticists who are hands-on, technical, and passionate about making their robot dreams become reality.

We are constantly advancing our in-house-built navigation system, focusing on speed, optimality, dynamism (we respect and take humans into account!) and of-course safety and robustness. Come join us!

Starting salary would be $40,000.

Job responsibilities :

You will maintain, improve and develop our current, in-house built autonomous navigation system, impacting how the robot will be able to move in human-shared, dynamic real world environments.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Design, implement and own robot state-of-the-art (base) navigation modules / algorithms with focus on path-planning for navigation
  • Implement / integrate algorithms for (constrained) motion planning
  • Ensure clean interfacing between the motion planning abstraction layer and its connections (deadlock analysis, synchronization etc.)
  • Design, implement and own algorithms based on advanced control-theory and optimization
  • Formulate practical optimization problems used for optimal control
  • You will be working alongside founders, researchers, and engineers to design and build first-generation robotic solutions for mass consumer adoption
  • Experience :

  • Master degree with min 1-2 years working experience in related fields or PhD
  • 2+ years in real project
  • Mandatory Requirements :

  • Experience with autonomous navigation stacks / frameworks
  • Experience with motion planning approaches
  • Self-implementation or in-depth knowledge of path / motion planning algorithms for navigation and constrained motion planning
  • Very good C++ skills, specifically : ROS, Eigen, Linux, Template Meta-Programming
  • Preferred Requirements :

  • Self-implementation or in-depth knowledge of control theory and / or optimization algorithms :
  • Non-linear control-theory (Lyapunov Theory, Differential Flatness, MPC, EKF, SGF, MHE
  • Optimization (gradient-based optimization : IP, SQP; preconditioning)
  • Strong mathematical skills, especially calculus
  • Experience with embedded, real-time controller implementations
