ICAP Executive Search , on behalf of our client, a leading multinational provider of technical services to the maritime industry, is seeking for an experienced professional to cover the role of :

Shipping / Maritime Cluster (Ref. 3762 / SM / ESS / GR)

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role is responsible to plan, implement and direct the sales activities of the company and to manage the sales teams, in a designated area to achieve sales objectives in the Greek Shipping vibrant market.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop a sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues
  • Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis
  • Analyse data to identify sales opportunities for growth
  • Attend trade meetings and industry conventions in Greece and abroad
  • Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts
  • Formulate and innovate sales policies and procedures
  • Set individual sales targets and delegate responsibility for customer accounts within the sales teams
  • Managing, motivating, incentivizing and empowering the sales teams
  • Plan and direct sales training
  • Perform annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue forecast
  • Generate sales reporting for management and head office
  • Control expenses and monitor budgets
  • Education and Experience

  • Business degree or related professional qualification in Shipping / Maritime
  • Prior Sales Management experience in the Shipping / Maritime industry
  • Minimum ten years of proven experience in customer relationship management
  • Minimum five years of proven knowledge in managing and directing sales teams
  • In depth knowledge of the Greek Shipping market and maritime technical sales skills are an absolute must
  • Solid understanding of digital sales platforms and fluent in using applications such as ERP, CRM will be considered as additional qualification
  • Strategic planning and long-term thinking
  • Strong problem analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Engagement and ability to cope with demanding workload
  • Availability to travel
