Job Purpose :
The Pre-Sales Consultant is an integral member of Temenos’ Business Solutions team which is responsible for business development in the region.
The candidate is tasked with providing Payment expertise, Solution Blueprints and system demos to prospective customers from C-Level through to End-Users.
The incumbent will work as part of a large team assisting the overall Sales team in driving revenue by helping to qualify accounts;
answering requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposals (RFPs); preparing and delivering solution-based product presentations and demonstrations;
and executing on customer proof of concepts (POCs).
Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
Present the value of Temenos products to a variety of audiences from C-level to workers and all levels in between.
Contribute to the sales team in driving revenue by qualifying leads.
Prepare and deliver solution-based product presentations and demonstrations to customers.
Execute on customer proof of concepts (POCs).
Provide banking and product expertise and solution blueprints.
Drive the pre-sales phase by introducing TEMENOS product / services offering and provide product demonstrations functionality, system architecture, etc.
by interfacing with prospective and current customers, distributors and partners (both at business and
technical level) and recommend a solution that ensures the optimum usage and utilization of TEMENOS products and services;
this can include a full pre-sales lifecycle from RFI response / requirement analysis, to running a scoping exercise or engage in a prototype / proof of concept for agreed requirements.
Responsible for professional RFP / RFI responses :
Having a detailed knowledge of the functionality and technology of the product range.
Ensuring that all materials such as presentations and demonstrations are maintained up to date.
Build on payment knowledge to support and deliver excellent :
Presentations to clients and prospects.
Demonstrations (including creation of product data used to demo product capability).
Skills and Qualifications :
Minimum 5-7 years of payment solution experience (bank, consulting firm or solution provider).
Experience required in the Payments Industry or Payments Software Vendor focused on global banking organizations. Must have experience in the following areas of Payments : Target2, ACH, SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS, Instant Payments, Corporate Cash Management.
Functional experience must have been gained in one or more of the following areas : payments (back office), payments business analyst, systems implementations of payment / payment hub, pre-sales for payment hub solution.
Professional experience developing or supporting payment products and solutions.
Strong knowledge in payment products life cycle.
Been involved in the selection and implementation of a payment solution within a financial institution is a distinct advantage.
Ideal candidates will have excellent communication and presentation skills in English and local language; another European language would be advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to present to an audience from C-Level to End User, clearly articulate the value Temenos products will bring to an organization, gain trusted advisor respect and help influence, make well executed systems presentations and clearly articulate the product’s value.
Must have the willingness to learn Temenos products. Ability to work remotely as part of a strong core team as well as on own demonstrating quality initiative and ownership.
Must be open, flexible and creative regarding time management and scheduling.
Bachelor’s degree in IT or Finance / Accounting will be considered a plus
International travel within Europe, up to 50% is required for this role.
As we are reinforcing our teams all over Europe, this role may also be located in Frankfurt, Luxembourg, London, Madrid and other locations where we have a hub office.
