If you want to be part of this incredible journey Grant Thornton Greece has the opportunity for you! The Procurement & Improvements Specialist is a key sourcing position that handles a variety of procurement and warehousing / inventory tasks in relevant projects that Grant Thornton undertakes.
The Assistance Manager Procurement & Improvements will have the responsibility for the management of the daily procurement activities for materials and equipment, as well as for the warehousing / inventory management and improvements in Grant Thornton’s relevant projects.
The key responsibilities of this role will include :
Monitors and controls the Materials Requirement Planning System in SAP and analyses stocks quantitatively and qualitatively in order to optimise inventory levels at Clients’ Warehouses
Ensures that stock is well organised and managed to sufficiently support production and the goals of the Clients’ business
Provides guidance to Buyers for the purchases of materials and equipment and coordinates the tendering process in order to implement and facilitate all Clients’ policies and procedures
Ensures that the supply chain needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner, for the seamless operation of the business
Develops appropriate purchasing models that provide value for money in accordance with Clients’ Procurement Policy and procedures
Effectively establishes, negotiates and manages Stock and Equipment Contracts in order to gain cost and time improvements
Is responsible for appropriate supplier selection / bidding process, and supplier and contract pricing validation for all purchase requisitions (PRs) under category management responsibility and Procurement Policy
Approves Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP according to the Clients’ Procurement Policy
Handling the day-to-day activities between the Warehouses and the Procurement Department of the Clients
Generates the appropriate reporting
The key requirements of this role are :
Experience in SAP Platform and relevant applications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Science or Engineering)
A Master’s degree in related subject is an added value
Certification in Supply Management
High ethical standard and character integrity
Strong planner, analytical, commercially minded and problem solving
Ability to cooperate across disciplines and to understand the interaction between legal, technical and commercial aspects
Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation capability in Greek and English verbal and written
Team oriented and goal-focused : organized and able to meet deadlines
High level of competence within project execution and technical operation
5-10 years of procurement process jobs related experience
Proficient knowledge of the English language
Proficient knowledge of MS Office
