Currently we are looking for Senior Data Scientist (Automation & Process Control) as we are supporting our FMCG partner in developing Digital Manufacturing unit which is a global, centralized unit with the ambition to strengthen data-driven decision-making and the development of smart data products for day-to-day operations.
As a Senior Data Scientist in Digital Manufacturing you will be a part of a digital team that is engaged in improving decisions at taken at the manufacturing sites.
You will work in an agile development environment with high expectations for rapid delivery of prototypes as we execute fast with a time to value in less than 4 months.
You will routinely meet changing requirements as well as will get direct feedback from global business customers. You will engage closely with subject matter experts so you need to be a strong team player that understands, digests and qualifies the input you receive during the project execution.
You will build models that will be used to take operational decisions in real time (decisions following your models’ recommendation) so you will impact the business directly by the work you will do.

If you join us, your responsibilities will include :
understanding business problems and designing smart data products
qualifying and analyzing data
developing complex models and algorithms that drive innovation throughout the organization
conducting advanced statistical analysis to provide actionable insights, identify trends and measure performance
embedding modelling results in real time user interfaces
cooperating with data engineers to implement and deploy scalable solutions
cooperating well with business to unpack ambiguous projects into clear requirements
provide mentorship and guidance to other data scientists in the team
We expect :
experience in working professionally with industrial data in the area of process automation and / or manufacturing
previous experience in industrial process automation and / or process control area
advanced university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related field
solid background in statistical modelling (statistical hypothesis testing, regression, classification, optimization) as well as in advanced statistics and machine learning (time series analysis, clustering, dimension reduction, anomaly detection)
fluent ability to program with Python (background in languages like R, MATLAB, Scala is a plus)
thorough knowledge of the NumFOCUS stack : pandas, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, SciPy
experience in programming for user interfaces in Plotly Dash / Tableau / Power BI
knowledge of industrial automation and / or process control principles
experience in improving performance of units and systems (covering such as chemical reactors, boilers, compressors, chillers, cooling towers and steam / condensate systems)
experience in working with large datasets, historians, relational databases
experience in experimental designs and process optimization
excellent analytical and quantitative skills
ability to lead change and deliver results
effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
demonstrated teamwork and networking skills
effective time management skills and ability to work independently
fluent English as you will communicate in English almost all the time
readiness for business trips (up to 40% of working time) visiting manufacturing sites located in Western Europe
