Position Purpose & Summary The is accountable for building customer relationship and insight with the more complex FIBI customers.

Translating the customers strategy into opportunities to create value with the broad FIBI and Cargill portfolio of products and services.

Commercial accountability includes reaching margin & volume targets and establishing growth through innovation of products and services.

Furthermore, accountability involves deploying marketing tools such as customer development plans, delivering customer specific value propositions, and gaining industry knowledge and translating this back into the wider product group organizations.

Accountable for the complete Sales process starting at the Ideation phase and ending with payment of the invoice. Principal Accountabilities 35% Build, develop and maintain internal / external customer relationship

  • Systematically build, develop and maintain strategic and long-term focused relationship with FIBI shared customers.
  • Advocate positions and coordinate resources across multiple businesses for meeting customers’ current and future needs.
  • Develop, maintain and implement strategic account planning and delivery process.
  • 15% Research and identify customer / business needs

  • Proactively research and identify customer requirements and expectations of Cargill.
  • Represent the single voice of the customer within Cargill and being well-versed in the customer’s long-term and strategic goals.
  • Continuously develop exceptional knowledge of competitive offerings
  • 20% Solution proposal and development / negotiation and sales execution

  • Accountable for managing all steps in sales effectiveness process
  • Position Cargill for leading opportunities by presenting the company’s capabilities and solutions.
  • Develop long term solutions with lead developers and senior commercial leaders.
  • Oversee proposal development, help create offerings that represent maximum value to the customer and Cargill.
  • Directly manage contract management negotiations,contract management and forecasting.
  • Appropriately involve Sales assistants and other support functions, like contract admin desk during the process.
  • Manage credit and counterparty risk management.
  • 20% Performance targets, measurement and results

  • Develop long term outlook, strategic account management / sales forecast.
  • Design and enforce short term indicator targets to measure progress towards long term goals.
  • Translate business plan and sales strategy into account specific growth plans.
  • Deliver on sales performance / financial targets / budgets.
  • Utilize CRM to fully document customer interactions and opportunities.
  • 10% Coaching and development

  • Indirectly coach and work with colleagues to achieve the goals set on the customer development plan.
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Required Qualifications

  • University graduate / Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years sales management or commercial experience.
  • 10+ years progressive business experience in large complex organizations.
  • Good appreciation of the FIBI product portfolio
  • Strong ability to implement the techniques and tools from sales effectiveness
  • Proven ability to influence without authority at all levels of both Cargill and Customer.
  • Demonstrated initiative, drive and relentless determination.
  • Proven strong negotiation skills as demonstrated with customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate successfully within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Entrepreneurial / consultative instincts while following agreed upon process measures.
  • Ability to travel 20-50%
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, coordination).
  • Ability to lead a team of peers and build internal / external trust and confidence.
  • Ability to create a strategy from abstract inputs; and execute such strategy with indirect team.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments (e.g. evolving plans, goals & situations).
  • English language, written and spoken. Additional languages as needed
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.
  • Strong food industry knowledge, expertise and networks.
