Optimal HR Group on behalf of Elpedison , a leading Energy & Utilities organization, is looking for an Internal Control Officer .
The Internal Control Officer will be responsible for assisting the Internal Control Section Manager to safeguard and maintain a well-organized internal control system in order to provide reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of the company's objectives related to operations, reporting, and compliance.
In addition, he / she will assist the Internal Control Section Manager in the latter's role of the Data Protection Officer (DPO).
Compiling the Annual Compliance Audit Plan under approval by the Internal Control Section Manager, in order to allow the smooth completion of the respective audits and effectively fulfill the prioritized audit requirements
Compiling the quality strategic actions plan under Manager's approval, in order to allow the company define and when required- update company’s quality expectations in relation to quality standards set by the Management
Controlling, reviewing, proposing and applying changes in the Quality Management System / Standard implementation, being accountable and informing for those the respective Manager, in order to allow the company acquire / implement a Quality Management System
Controlling, reviewing, proposing and applying changes in the various standards adopted, being accountable and informing for those the Internal Control Section Manager, in order to ensure that the IMS conforms to the requirements of applicable International Standard per case (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)
Controlling, reviewing and proposing the design of new business processes or the application of changes in existing processes, triggered by the operational requirements, and the subsequent timely and accurate update of the relevant business process register
Preparing or reviewing as per case and submitting, after the review / approval by the internal Control Section Manager, the standard reporting to the Authorities as required by the main Licenses of the company
Conducting the preliminary assessment of Health & Safety and Environmental (HSE) legislation update and informing accordingly the Internal Control Section Manager, in order to notify and forward new legislation to competent personnel for further evaluation and actions
Assisting the Internal Control Section Manager in works related to the representation of the company in EDF group's seminars / workshops whose subject is related to HSE legislation in order be updated on relevant developments in the EU and to inform the company accordingly
Carrying out administrative works related to Policies, activities processes, procedures and procedure-related documentation of the company (new introductions, revisions, modifications, issuing of documentation etc)
Assisting the DPO, in controlling, assessing, reviewing and carrying out changes in the GDPR-related procedures implementation in order to allow the company to implement effectively GDPR
Monitoring the set of KPIs in order to assess the compliance with the control activities, i.e. the policies, activities and procedures frameworks required to ensure that management directives are carried out and actions are taken to address risks affecting achievement of objectives, being accountable and informing for those the Internal Control Section Manager
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance discipline, preferably at post-graduate level
At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in related business / industrial environments
Experience in managing ISO Standards implementation
A good overall understanding of the energy industry and regulatory framework
Excellent command of the English language
Good project management & process compliance methodology
