RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job Sketch :
Directly reporting to the Shop Director, the Retail Operations Manager is mainly responsible for leading his / her shop performance, ensuring excellent performance in the three business domains, driving employee experience, customer experience and business results.
He / she is a professional who is responsible for managing the daily operations of stores while maintaining their working space tidy and organized.
Retail Operation Manager must ensure proper staffing at all stores as well as training employees to enhance their job performance.
Main responsibilities include :
Directs and supervises staff across several stores to ensure they meet set objectives.
Contacts store managers and other staff to communicate relevant information.
Assumes responsibility for the Category Supervisors’ Team.
Provides solutions that address performance issues in a timely and effective manner.
Provides training to employees to develop their skills and enhance their job performance.
Monitors competition and customer behavior regarding their demand for goods and makes recommendations.
Organizes replenishment and ensures it follows the company standards.
Ensures compliance with health / safety policies and procedures at stores.
Assumes accountability for the total performance of all stores under his / her responsibility at all aspects, by spending at least 80% of his / her scheduled time on the sales floor.
Constantly drives customer experience, ensures the excellent execution of all customer experience elements (such as store atmosphere, visual merchandising, replenishment, customer service, fast and efficient transactions).
Proposes action plans to improve performance and monitors the implementation.
Creates and maintains a working environment that ensures his / her direct team satisfaction and engagement.
Develops and grows his / her team of associates by ensuring the proper learning and development, performance appraisal and identification of talents.

Other Qualifications :
Bachelor degree (or other degree) is required.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in retail, sales or commercial departments.
Minimum of 4 years experience in managing people.
Relevant experience in fast moving product category is advantageous.
Excellent use of the English language.
Computer literacy and excellent knowledge of MS Office.
