About the role
Beat is currently looking for a high-caliber Senior Legal Counsel to strengthen our team in Athens. This position oversees all aspects of corporate, consumer, employment law and policies and regulations particularly in Greece and The Netherlands.
This role gives the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior stakeholders. Your support will be crucial to ensure legal conformity and minimise the probability of exposure to legal risks.

The core responsibilities include to participate, impact and support every internal and external procedure regarding legal issues.
What you'll do day in day out :
Draft, review and negotiate (with support as needed) contracts and NDAs with our broad range of suppliers; e.g., tech agreements, marketing related services, software licences and lease agreements, in coordination with our procurement team
Offer counsel on a variety of legal issues concerning corporate, commercial and employment matters in a concise, accurate and business-relevant way
Research and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact the company
Provide training to the company on various legal issues associated with commercial or employment law matters
Assist in the creation of new legal procedures for the business organisation
Maintain an effective contract management system
Monitor and advise on current and future legislation that might affect the Company’s business
Assist with corporate governance and company secretarial matters
Plan and execute internal audits, and work with the legal team (and other relevant business units) to address areas of risk
What you need to have :
Bachelor Degree in Law; an LL.M. from a renowned law school would be considered a plus
Preferably qualified in Greece
At least six years post-qualification experience (ideally with some prior in-house experience especially with a technology or consumer-facing company)
Sound knowledge of Greek commercial law (including corporate and consumer law); knowledge of employment law would be considered a plus
Experience advising on legislative and regulatory matters relevant to the technology sector
Fluency in English and Greek (oral & written); knowledge of Spanish would be considered a plus
An ability to work closely with a variety of stakeholders and develop strong working relationships
Good business acumen, commercially astute
Forward thinking, robust, innovative and agile personality
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
Uncompromising attention to detail and high standards of documentation production and presentation
