The job holder will be responsible for the configuration, upgrade and expansion of the fixed and mobile telephony systems.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
Project management and implementation for fixed and mobile voice related projects.
Troubleshooting of technical problems in telephony systems and networks. Expert support in customer voice related technical problems.
Testing, certification and acceptance of new voice systems, functionalities and services.
Configuration and testing of voice interconnections with other carriers
Performance management through telephony traffic measurements resulting in design and implementation of service improving actions
Communication and control of vendors during expansion or support activities
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
High level of problem solving capability due to complexity & variety of network related issues.
Ability to apply virtual team management principles as a portion of department’s work force is geographically dispersed.
Thinking out-of-the-box to drive the on-going transformation of working processes & align in the evolving business needs.
Excellent in analysis and investigation of complex technical issues / problems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in team
Must have technical / professional qualifications
Education : Engineering Degree preferably Telecoms related, very good command of English, fluent verbal and written communication.
At least 3 years’ experience in operation and maintenance of mobile and / or IMS systems
Very good knowledge of communication protocols including SIP, ISUP, H.248, DIAMETER, MAP, SCCP, TCAP, CAMEL
Proven troubleshooting capabilities in telephony systems and networks
Experience in performance and fault management
Nice to have :
Knowledge of IP / MPLs protocols
Knowledge of OS systems (Linux, Solaris)
