What you’ll do
The key responsibilities are :
Responsible for independently resolving and diagnosing escalated client problems through excellent technical skills, agility and in-depth knowledge of products, client configuration and the solution layer
Providing high-quality support for clients’ configured production solutions and applying technical and functional skills as well as an innovative approach to perform investigation of issues or playing an advisory role when the client requires it
Responsible for building and maintaining environments that allow effective replication of issues and further analysis to identify the root cause
Building connected relationships and personal credibility with the client base by managing client expectations, acting as an advisor and fostering trust in the reputation of our software and services
Proactively keep up-to-date with relevant knowledge and skills, mentor others and be aligned with the evolving company culture, contributing towards internal communications where appropriate
Oversee operational aspects of a client engagement and the performance of less experienced colleagues, triggering improvements to these areas
Helping to implement best practices to be followed by your team to ensure that our delivery is fit for purpose and actively engage with the Centre of Excellence and other project teams to share knowledge, best practices and lessons learned
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes & experience :
Experience in technical support, software development or consultancy
Experience in implementation projects for business / finance software would be a benefit
Analytical, client-focused, problem-solving and quick-learner,
Ability to provide concise and accurate updates and explanations to clients and team members,
Continuous improvement mindset
Understand and follow process
Strong work-ethic & eager to learn new areas
Ability to identify known issues and document workflows & processes
Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
Understanding of accounting principles / revenue streams would be an asset Proficient in the English language to be able to effectively communicate (verbally and written) with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Technical Skills :
Strong understanding of relational databases, especially Oracle
Good knowledge of Unix / Linux operating systems and tools
Good knowledge of software debugging and profiling tools
Good understanding of technologies used in Aptitude Software products
Ability to read and understand source code in various programming languages, or experience in application development or SQL programming
Ability to create ad-hoc programs or scripts to help with support tasks
Management of source code.
Performing automated build and testing.
Allocating development tasks in an agile setting
Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting principles
Work flexible mix between CET and EST (if needed to attend a client call or internal liaison)
Possible standby cover during weekends and / or bank holidays + special events
