Job Summary :
The Project Director will be responsible for the overall management of CRS Greece’s Refugee Integration Program, including supervising a team of 12 to 15 staff, program and management quality, donor compliance, and team leadership.
Job Responsibilities :
Effectively manage and supervise staff within the Refugee Integration Program. Manage team dynamics and staff well-being;
build trusting and empowering relationships with staff; communicate and clarify team goals, expectations and priorities;
deliver and receive regular and constructive feedback; support individual staff learning and growth.
Provide management, guidance, and technical oversight of the Refugee Integration Program. Ensure project start-up, implementation and close-
out activities are in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, and donor guidelines.Lead the development of program learning -
identify opportunities for learning, integration of innovation and best practices, in the Refugee Integration Program. Ensure compliance with CRS’ MEAL policyV3.
0. Facilitate the dissemination of promising practices and lessons learned that contribute to the agency knowledge management agenda.
Lead in the development and submission of official project documents (narrative and financial reports; project amendments;
proposals for additional phases of ongoing projects) within the sector of Refugee Integration. Ensure project activities and approaches are aligned with agency, regional, and CRS Greece strategic priorities.
Oversee technical assistance and capacity strengthening activities for staff and partner organizations to enhance program quality and impact.
Oversee the identification, assessment and strengthening of partnerships relevant to Refugee Integration and the appropriate application of partnership concepts, tools and approaches.
Ensure timely and appropriate project expenditures in line with financial plans and efficient use and stewardship of project material sources.
Typical Background, Experience & Requirements :
Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in International Development, International Relations or in the field of Humanitarian Response required.
Additional experience may substitute for some education.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant field-based project management experience required, with preferably at least 2-
3 years working in the area of Humanitarian Response or Refugee Integration.
Staff management and supervision experience and abilities that are conducive to a learning environment.
Experience in managing complex projects preferably with an international NGO.
Relevant experience in project grants management, including project design, preferably for grants from multiple public donors.
Demonstrated ability to write high quality technical proposals, project reports in English.
Experience engaging with Church based partner organizations, especially Caritas Internationalis Member Organizations and building partner capacity building
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) knowledge, skills and experience required.
Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information management systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make sound judgment and decisions and offer innovative solutions
Strong relations management abilities. Ability to relate to people at all levels internally and externally. Strategic in how you approach each relationship.
Good presentation and facilitation skills
Proactive, resourceful, solutions-oriented and results-oriented
Travel Required : 20-25% in country travel
Key Working Relationships :
Supervisory : Direct supervision of Senior Project Officers (4), and overall leadership of a team of 12 to 15 staff
Internal : Head of Programs, MEAL Manager, Project Managers, Operations Manager, HR Manager, Country Manager
External : Project Donor(s), Caritas Athens, Caritas Hellas, Project Consortium Members, Government Stakeholders
