We are currently looking for a talented and exceptional individual to join our team as a Sales Insights Analyst .

The Sales Insights Analyst is responsible for developing and setting strategic sales priorities which include revenue and market penetration goals, growth ambitions, channel strategy, as well as organizational design, capacity planning and productivity objectives.

He / she effectively guides and challenges sales management to ensure sustained above-market revenue growth performance.

This role is a key member of a team of dynamic, analytical problem solvers that takes on highly complex projects in a cross-functional, cross-cultural environment.

The aspiration is to enable our Business Development teams to accelerate growth and drive productivity. The team will be known for world-class analytics and insights.


  • Reports directly to the Global Business Development Director
  • Develops strategic priorities and plans; tracks effective execution - use market and analytical insights to formulate clear and compelling strategic priorities at all relevant levels (e.
  • g. global, or per sales unit). Translates strategy into sales plans and metrics, with clear implications for processes, channels, resource allocation, capabilities, and performance management

  • Owns strategic workforce planning, in order to optimize sales resource allocation, sales productivity and structure - form and maintain an explicit view on what sales productivity should be expected (all sales roles, all sales teams across all sales channels and all customer segments and regions) and track current organizational performance against said expectations;
  • design and implement required organizational changes to improve productivity levels

  • Develops and maintains deep market insights for all relevant markets - by tracking detailed growth opportunities; competitor actions;
  • market share developments;
  • Stays very closely connected to sales teams, and to the current sales performance (YTD performance, NTA to budget, pipeline development, etc).
  • Is the key go-to-person for commercial questions / issues, leveraging his / her current knowledge of the business with his / her understanding of strategic priorities

  • Works very closely with other members of the Global Business Development Team (BD team leads, BD managers and BD associates), Marketing, and Operations, as well as the Technology and IT
  • Infrequent international travel required
  • Requirements

  • University-level education required (technical / scientific preferred); Master or MBA preferred
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a commercial environment (Sales or Marketing) or Finance, or management consulting
  • Proven track record of ability to deliver in a matrixed environment - preferably in multi-national organization
  • Experience presenting findings and convictions at an executive level
  • Experience in market intelligence / market sizing, business intelligence and a proven track record in data-driven decision making
  • Experience with the development and go to market process of a new product, service, and / or pricing model a plus
  • Experience and preferably advanced knowledge of BI Tools such as Power BI and relational database management tools such as SQL or KNIME
  • Strong in framing and structuring a problem - effectively scopes the components and plans the required analytical steps based on early formulation of hypotheses
  • Strong in conducting complex analysis - gathers data resourcefully, conducts complex quantitative and qualitative analysis independently and effectively, ensures results pass reality check
  • Strong in pushing for insights - extracts insights from data / analyses, is able to identify second order implications, translates findings into practical recommendations
