Senior System Administrator (m / f / d)

With a highly available and spatially distributed infrastructure for block, file and object storage systems, our services form the foundation for itsc's private cloud, applications, databases and many other IT services.
Our backup and SAN infrastructure, including virtual and physical tape libraries, enables regular backup and recovery of data in case of failure.
Together as a team, we ensure the smooth operation of our systems, support internal and external customers with 2nd level support and drive technical development in the Storage & Backup team.
Your tasks with us
Administration of professional storage and backup systems such as NetApp MetroCluster and Fujitsu Eternus in HA setups with distributed data centers.
Installation and maintenance of management and system-specific software.
Optimization and monitoring of the storage and backup infrastructure.
Automation of recurring tasks and workflows, such as the integration of new servers into the backup.
Provision of billing-relevant key figures and their analysis from an efficiency point of view.
Creation, maintenance and further development of system and process documentation
Development and planning of new products and services, e.g. based on hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
Expansion of the S3-compatible object store.
2nd level support tasks and handling of customer requests.
What you bring to the table
A completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist for system integration or a comparable qualification with corresponding professional experience
Sound knowledge and several years of professional experience in the administration of storage and data backup systems as well as good knowledge of the corresponding concepts (snapshot, deduplication, etc.)
Broad basic knowledge in the administration of operating systems and databases with a focus on data backup and recovery.
Ideally, experience with NetApp ONTAP and Commvault.
Scripting (e.g. Bash, Python) and SQL skills for workflow automation.
Practical experience with network and SAN components to operate storage and backup systems.
Willingness to participate in projects and (cross-functional) teams
A quick grasp, open-mindedness towards modern working methods and flexibility
