Job Summary

Business Process Expert Book to Report (BPE B2R)

Location : Athens / Other in Europe

Role overview : BPEs are part of the Business process owner team to design, pilot and roll out the Opera core model for the Book to Report (finance processes) stream.

The BPE’s main role is to support a set of go-live entities, and to help the local teams adopt the standard language & way to work.

She / he will be involved in specific add-ons to the core model where required. It is a great opportunity for a finance professional to gain experience in project management, IT contexts and digitalization while bringing her / his expertise and quick understanding of the underlying business processes.

Reports To : Business Process Owner - Book to Report (BPO - B2R)

Direct reports : No

Responsibilities and Duties

Acquire a good understanding of the S / 4 Hana processes and underlying core model business rules & common language.

Entities roll out : lead B2R activities with local users :

Pre go live phase : plan and animate with IT solutions the pre go live activities : identification and guidance of key users, master data preparation, mapping, data cleansing, tests on specific flows, organize and follow up training.

Go live phase : challenge cut over plan (steps included, local resources needs). Coordinate the go live activities for the B2R streams in relation with IT solutions.

Core model evolution :

On specific topics, help the BPO challenge the need to adapt / design the core model.

Communication :

Be an ambassador of the Opera project for B2R : participate to relay the right messages to the right audience within IMERYS.

Qualifications& Experience


Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

Hands-on experience in accounting and controlling :

Legal entity local GAAP & IFRS closing.

Standard costs calculation.

Reporting & variance analysis.

IT oriented, experience with SAP possibly S / 4 Hana.

Very structured, excellent organization skills.

English speaking (fluent)

Ability to travel in Europe ( 30%)


Experience of working within a culturally diverse global company.

Knowledge of one or more other languages is a plus.
