Portfolio and Processes
Responsible for transparency and visibility of the assigned AD&L portfolio of projects
Own project and program status and spend tracking of assigned programs in the portfolio
Lead improvements in the areas of Program Management and demand governance processes working with Client Partners, AD&L team leads and Digital Portfolio team
Collaborate with Client Partners in building business case and project justifications for large programs. Once approved, lead tracking project and program financial health ensuring department level Capital and CCA budgets targets are met.
Contribute to implementing improvements to processes and introducing new control points considering SAFe Agile Program management
Lead the creation of metrics, monitor / challenge progress on AD&L Projects
Represent AD&L portfolio in governance
Lead standards, best practice development and learning / training requirements for Program Management processes in support of creating an Agile focused PM CoE / CoP
Lead CoP / CoE meetings
Project and Program Responsibilities :
Program / Project Lifecycle including : Scoping, Procurement / RFP, Staffing, Delivery, Risk / Issue / Change Mgt, Status Reporting, Quality Mgt, Financial Mgt, Closeout
Support Agile Program Management processes across the organization, implement Agile structure for assigned projects
End-to-end accountability for project success for projects driven out of ADL in support of business functions.
For large programs work hand in hand with delivery teams (pre-project estimation, through completion and value realization)
On-time, on-budget, on-quality project delivery; client satisfaction on a project-to-project basis; user satisfaction and effective leadership of teams through influence.
Compliance with Solution Center and other BT processes and financial procedures is required
Assemble and engage project teams
Project oversight and status reporting
Education : BS, MS, MBA
Minimum of 7 years of management experience leading project teams and technology delivery functions
Preferred Discipline(s) : Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Very strong customer relationship skills, especially with internal customers and constituents
Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry
Demonstrated experience at owning and managing a significant organizational or project budget ($1MM to $10MM annually)
Previous software development leadership experience
Experience using project management methodologies and standards. Having the agile mindset, working knowledge and experience with Agile methodology across multiple agile projects at the program level
Demonstrated experience in scoping, defining and managing projects including determining project viability, developing rigorous project estimates, developing and establishing a project plan, budget defining technology solutions, developing RFPs, evaluating vendor responses, negotiating SOWs and identifying resource requirements
Demonstrated effective collaboration with teams across an organization to drive processes and operations
A curious and highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively across cross-functional teams and can independently drive projects toward completion with proper planning and management
Passion for creating user-centric digital and interactive experiences
Excited about product ownership and the accountability with which it comes.
