The project and the team
We are working with the latest technologies used in the world of modern networking. We create user-space and kernel-space drivers for advanced network interface cards (smartNIC) and integrate them with various software and platforms.
Our focal point is hardware offloading for virtualized routers and switches.
What else you should know :
We do projects, not body-leasing, most of the work will be R&D
The team consists of developers, QA, and DevOps engineers
We want to keep our teams no bigger than 15 people
We usually use Kanban / Agile methodology for our project
We work with both US and Europe
Your role
As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for :
Coordinate and manage project team’s work under a supervision of a senior Engineering Manager
Supporting your team members and acting as their line manager (e.g. supporting recruitment, onboarding, training, evaluation, etc.)
Making sure that the team has all the things they need to deliver their work in an efficient manner
Organizing, leading and / or facilitating project meetings and daily stand-ups. Monitoring project progress, identifying and managing project risks and issues
Facilitating or taking active part (depending on your technical skills and preference) in discussions with the client
Identifying new business opportunities with your existing clients or currently used technology

As an Junior Engineering Manager you must meet the following criteria :
Experience in network / embedded software projects as a developer and willingness to try a new career path OR Experience as Project / Engineering Manager or Team / People Leader
Theoretical and practical knowledge of project life cycle (PLC) and software development process (SDLC)
Theoretical and practical people leadership knowledge or willingness to learn it
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent English (C1 level or above)
Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate :
Hands-on experience as a developer or QA (we do not need you to code but understanding the things you manage is important)
Experience in working in agile projects (as a scrum master or a scrum team member)
Good understanding of computer networking
Knowledge of modern virtualization technologies (virtual machines, dockers, orchestration, etc.)
