As a Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with your teammates and our customers to support many new, leading-edge technologies that solve real-world challenges.

You will work to provide robust feedback and guidance to our Product and Engineering teams while being a voice for our customers, community, partners, and the broader Developer Experience (DX).

You want to make our customers and partners successful while strengthening their relationship with Serverless. You can make a huge impact and have actual ownership of the work you do.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Resolve customer issues via slack, email and video conferencing.
  • Support a mix of self-managed and SaaS customers.
  • Collaborate with our Product and Development Teams to build new features and fix bugs.
  • Create and update documentation based on customer interactions.
  • Work hard to solve customer problems while delighting them along the way.
  • Provide emergency support to our Self-managed and SaaS customers, or working with our SaaS Production team to coordinate incident communications.
  • Work alongside Product Managers to define and shape the product goals, roadmap, priorities, and strategy based on your frontline knowledge of customer needs.
  • Continually research and learn the current and future best practices of Serverless architectures.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to Support workflows.
  • Qualifications

  • Direct experience with serverless infrastructure on AWS (AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB, AWS Fargate), using an insfrastructure as code framework such as the Serverless Framework, SAM, CDK or CloudFormation.
  • Excellent Javascript knowledge and are fluent with Node.js .
  • Experience in writing support content.
  • Experienced at being on-call and can jump into a complex situation and make sense of and communicate clearly to stakeholders what's going on.
  • You're a natural communicator and delight in using those skills to help others.
  • Naturally curious and love exploring new technologies and figuring things out the hard way.
  • Understanding of DevOps methodologies and you appreciate the value that Serverless technologies bring to the software deployment and development process.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics to customers and coworkers of varying technical skill level.
