Description

We are looking for a System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware, and networks. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.

Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. As a System administrator you will also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and configure Dedicated and Virtual Linux machines that are core to our software daily processes
  • Monitoring & Maintaining Linux servers for availability, performance and hardware defects.
  • Manage and support internal company terminals on hardware and software level
  • Manage and configure company accounts on all internal software platforms used by your colleagues.
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Proactively configure networks and systems for optimal redundancy
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role at least 2-3 years
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN,VPN) and patch management
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup / recovery
  • Linux distributions (mostly CentOS)
  • Monitoring and Logging of Linux Systems
  • GitLab and / or other versioning systems administration
  • MYSQL administration
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BSc / Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
