  • We need a visionary Associate Director of Engineering, who is able to work closely with our product and design departments to plan and deliver our bold future for audience data analysis.

    You will be able to both influence the architecture of our systems and participate in the roadmap creation for the teams you will lead.

    You will develop close working relationships with your peers in the various cross-functional teams and you will have the opportunity to coach and mentor a global team of brilliant engineers.

    Key roles and responsibilities :

  • Monitor overall performance of a cross-discipline, distributed software engineering teams and establish clear framework for reporting on the team performance and output quality
  • Line manage engineers of various seniority, defining and tracking goals and objectives for individual team members
  • Ensure that products are created on time, to the required quality and in line with our technology strategy
  • Contribute to the product roadmap and product planning process in collaboration with senior technical and product leaders
  • Drive collaboration across teams to share knowledge and experience and build communities of talent
  • Champion continuous improvement to help raise the bar on quality, performance and maintainability throughout our stack and processes
  • Set and fulfil the engineering team hiring plan and manage the recruitment of high-quality engineers who will add value and diversity to the team by managing the sourcing, screening and interviewing of candidates
  • Encourage and manage the adoption of new technologies and techniques throughout your own and other teams
  • About you

  • Have a Software Engineering background
  • Demonstrable commercial experience leading a team of engineers where you have driven improvement to process and morale
  • Proven ability to design, architect and communicate complex system designs
  • A proven track record of successfully mentoring and leading junior team members and supporting their development
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of key technologies and current industry trends across Frontend, API or Data systems
  • Product oriented mind-set and ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders
  • Track record of delivering successful non-trivial software projects and experience with full development life-cycle from ideation to production deployment
  • A passion for data-driven decision making and process optimisation
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
