Job Description

Essential functions of the role :

  • Overall responsibility for the management of team and the development, deployment and ongoing support of enterprise level applications such as Web, SharePoint, ServiceNow
  • Provide day-to-day management of application development and support personnel (approx. 5-7 direct reports)
  • Project manage the IT aspects of all emerging programs and initiatives
  • Manage the team in the systems design of new or changing applications
  • Develop training programs / opportunities for the entire IT staff
  • Maintain project dashboards and provide weekly updates; identify and remediate problems and bottlenecks timely and effectively
  • Assist in application development and support on an as needed basis
  • Manage team in performing tasks within Kentico, Web-based .NET applications, ServiceNow and SharePoint Intranet and Extranet Development projects
  • Manage the development and maintenance of standard user practices, policies and procedures that insure practical and efficient business operation.
  • Follows technical designs, test plans and documentation

  • Partners closely with the data center and network management center teams to continuously improve platform performance, stability and functionality and to trouble shoot and resolve problems.
  • Manages the team and prioritization in troubleshooting and patching both current and future applications
  • Responsible for providing services and ongoing support consistent with Service Legal Agreements, including occasional off-hours support
  • Candidate essentials :

  • College degree in computer science, information sciences or related field
  • 10+ years experience in IT & Operations, preferably with leading enterprise software
  • 10+ years of experience in people management
  • 5+ years in project management
  • General knowledge and understanding of IT Applications & technologies
  • Evident leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage an implementation team
  • Strong situational analysis and decision making abilities
  • Highly organized and strong ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated and able to create an environment that supports high performing teams
  • Passion for mentoring, coaching and staff development.
  • Excellent at establishing and managing relationships with leadership, co-workers and 3rd party vendors
  • Experience with the following :
  • NET CMS platforms such as Kentico, SharePoint, DotNetNuke, etc.
  • Web applications and services using ASP.Net (Web Forms
  • ServiceNow using UI Pages, UI Macro & CMS using CSS, HTML and Jelly
  • Reporting Services, MS Excel (Report Creation) or other BI tools is a plus
  • Operate and Manage with a Customer focused consulting approach
  • advanced project management skills
  • resource planning and prioritization of work efforts
  • strategic roadmap and program designs
  • interact and relate with business partners to articulate technical solutions
  • understand best practices in technical and functional design requirements
  • effective communication and presentations
  • Strong requirements gathering and business process experience needed. Ability to work with business users and clients a must.
