Workathlon is recruiting an experienced Marina Manager for employment in an amazing 5* Hotel.

The Marina Manager is responsible to ensure the smooth operation of a state-of-the-art marina and its facilities.

Responsibilities :

  • Adhere to and enforce day to day marina operation in accordance with safety policies, company policies, environmental standards and state laws
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitor the physical condition of all facilities and equipment in the marina operations to ensure that required maintenance is performed
  • Organize and implement the training of all marina personnel in order to provide exceptional service and ensure the team is well-groomed
  • Coordinate shifts of the yacht assistants and assign responsibilities, monitor their performance and support in problem-resolving where needed
  • Coordinate and oversee docking activities and ensure the safe and efficient docking and undocking of vessels
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and good communication flow with heads of other hotel departments. Be well informed with regards to all upcoming events and activities and effectively manage sales and guest relations in order to optimize profitability and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor and manage operational functions including budgets, scheduling, forecasts, expenses and supplies
  • Candidate profile :

  • Excellent command of the Greek and English language
  • Knowledge of a third language will be considered an additional asset
  • Degree in either Hospitality / Tourism or Business. A Master’s Degree in a related field will be considered as an extra asset
  • Motorboat / Speedboat license and Sailing boat license / Skippers diploma are required
  • Good knowledge of naval legislation & general navy / port regulations
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and of at least one PMS software
  • Minimum 6+ years’ experience as a Marina Manager, with high-level technical ability
  • Strong organizational, record keeping and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to provide excellent customer service to the guests
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other company personnel
  • Very good knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and procedures. Ability to apply safety rules and adhere to operating and maintenance company standards
  • Hands-on approach, positive attitude, strong leadership, and team-building skills
  • Good with numbers and calculations
