This position will drive a fully integratedcommunications agenda for Oracle’s cloud technologies as well as promoting andprotecting Oracle’s brand and reputation across the GCMM region (in order ofpriority : Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Moldova).
Tightly linked with Marketing and Salesfunctions, the role will create, integrate and execute communications programsto support the business and provide strategic communications counsel indelivering consistency of communication.
This position will report to the CommunicationsDirector, CEE&CIS. The position is to based in Athens.The role will require travel within regionand Europe.
Role & Responsibilities
Set the communications strategy to support Oracle’soverarching business priorities (CEO, CMO, CHRO, CFO AND CIO audience) with anobjective to establish Oracle as the regional market leader in the Cloud.
Provide expert counsel in combining traditionaland social communications programs into a single cohesive approach to buildcredibility and demonstrate leadership.
Drive measurable collaboration across CorporateCommunications, Marketing and Brand Communications to ensure key communicationsplans, narratives and content deliverables are used to maximum effect.
Assess and deliver robust multi-channel mediaand social customer engagement programs with a focus on content, placement,engagement and value.
Identify and help shape interactions withOracle Greece’s influencer communities by surrounding them with a dynamic flowof news, opinion, commentary and expertise.
Assist in crisis management and response plansfor Oracle’s communications on issues originating in the region.
Direct and manage PR agency resources to createsuccessful integrated campaigns supporting priority audiences CEO, CMO, CHRO,CFO, CIO and the Oracle brand
Monitoringcompetition activity and making strategic recommendations.
Skills & Competencies
Degree qualification is not required but, overand above specialist skills the candidate must demonstrate drive, initiative,common sense and a get-
up-and-go attitude to be successful in this role.
This role must be filled by an outstandingprofessional, passionate about communications with a zealous interest in learningand delivering results, with minimum 5 years’ experience.
Some of this time should have been in a communicationsrole within a corporate entity or a communications agency.
Excellent strategic planning skills; a solidunderstanding of the B2B technology industry; deep understanding of the businessand technology media landscape in GCMM and proven corporate communications andsocial media expertise.
Experience of working within a globalenterprise and counselling senior management in a dynamic environment areessentials and a high degree of personal initiative, collaboration and writtencommunication skills are absolutes.
The successful candidate will have a deepunderstanding of how technology is shaping and advancing the everyday lives ofindividuals as well as organisations and demonstrated skills in applying thatunderstanding to successful communications.
