The role holder will have detailed understanding of RTI’s Child Safeguarding and protection Policy as they will be involved in programmes for children.
We are looking to recruit an Art therapist or Dance and Movement therapist for the role of ECD facilitator. The post holder will work with RTI multidisciplinary team in the Early Childhood Development Programme Baytna , providing psychosocial support and early learning for refugee children and families living in northern Greece.
Under the supervision from Head of Early Childhood Development, they will be planning, delivering and evaluating activities for groups of children and families.
They will plan and deliver groups for parents and women. They will also support programme development and implementation and ensure that the objectives and the values of the ECD programme are met.
Additionally, they will deliver capacity building workshops for volunteers and aid workers.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Implementation of Early Childhood Development activities for refugee children and their families and workshops for humanitarians.
Understanding, adhering and implementing programme values and strategy as set by the leadership team.
Plan and deliver psychosocial and educational activities and sessions for groups of children according to the children's age and needs based on the curriculum principles and objectives.
Support the development / design of ECD activity guidelines to ensure that the programme implementation is done in line with the programme guidelines and standards.
Documenting the work that is being done for monitoring and evaluation including immaculate data entry and report-writing purposes including case studies.
Develop and deliver trainings for volunteers and educational staff of RTI'S ECD Manual.
Identify children with special needs and child protection cases and act in the best interest of the child.
Plan and deliver monthly capacity building workshops for volunteers and aid workers.
Plan and deliver movement-based PSS sessions for women.
Attend and participate in meetings and team building activities.
Participate actively in supervision and trainings and continuously update knowledge and skills ensuring that the programme benefit from the latest evidence on ECD.
Plan and carry out family meetings and outreach activities.
Develop and participate other psychosocial groups.
Support Head of ECD programme in other activities if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in a relevant field (Art therapy, Dance and Movement therapy) including qualification and membership of appropriate professional body.
Fluent in English. Arabic / Kurdish is a big advantage.
Knowledge and experience of implementing education and PSS activities for children and their parents.
Experience of working with children.
Experience of working with refugees, immigrants or other vulnerable groups is an asset.
Capacity to manage self and others in context of crises.
Experience of cross culture work.
Ability to work in underprivileged settings.
