    Unit 22B provides future-proof virtualization and cloud platforms as well as the associated services for IT projects and IT procedures for the entire Federal Office.

    The corresponding range of services includes operational IT operations, release and rollout management and enabling development projects for highly automated and agile processes, thus providing the basis for the provision of modern, scalable and container-based IT applications.

    As an interface, the unit provides support on various topics, such as IT architecture, IT security, test management, and communication with IT service providers.

    Your tasks

  • Your responsibilities include the implementation and operational management of an IT service management unit, with which you provide functional and technical platform services or cloud services for various groups of people in the BAMF and for whose further development you are responsible
  • Within the scope of your work as an officer, you conceptualize the implementation of an adequate self-service portal, with which the platform services are used independently by employees and operational activities of the IT service management are supported
  • Your task is to develop a DevOps approach; in doing so, you will be responsible for projects and procedures whose requirements you will record and transmit to platform development
  • You will be responsible for onboarding new employees, managing license management and service level agreement, as well as creating and evolving processes
  • Your profile

  • You have a completed relevant (technical) university degree at master's level with an information technology focus (e.
  • g., computer science, business information systems or mathematics) or an engineering, technical or scientific university degree with an information technology focus or equivalent proven skills and experience

  • You can already apply if you complete your studies within three months after the application deadline; the final certificate must be submitted at the time of announcement
  • Knowledge and experience in dealing with IT architectures (micro service architectures, continuous integration, cloud architecture and many more) are an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience in transformation management as well as in IT and release management are also beneficial
  • Ideally, you can demonstrate knowledge of development under common procedural models of software development, e.g. V-model, waterfall model or Scrum
  • The performance of duties requires - aligned with the requirements profile for officers in the Federal Office - distinctive skills in the areas of leadership, social, communicative and methodological competence, as well as gender and diversity competence;
  • a high degree of sense of duty, commitment, self-confident appearance and motivation is expected
