The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG is a joint venture company established with the purpose of planning, developing and building the TAP natural gas pipeline.

TAP’s shareholding is comprised of BP (20%), SNAM (20%), SOCAR (20%), Fluxys (19%), Enagás (16%) and Axpo (5%).

For TAP's Country Office in Thessaloniki-Greece , we are seeking an Operations & Maintenance Manager. This challenging position shall be ultimately responsible for the safe and effective management of all TAP Assets / Facilities located within Greece ensuring all TAP performance targets are achieved.

The role is responsible for taking the lead in delivery of the TAP Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Field Services Strategy and provide the O&M focal point for relations and technical / contractual negotiations with DESFA.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Safe and effective management of all TAP O&M assets located within Greece compressor station(s), block valve stations and pipeline
  • Delivering all in-country permits and approvals required to keep the project on budget and within schedule; ensure full compliance with all ESIA, RoW (and other key permit) conditions
  • The development and delivery of appropriate strategies for TAP in Greece with regards to Land Management and Stakeholder Management
  • Legal representative of TAP-AG in Greece for the Operations and QHSE
  • Responsible for the Greece O&M budget ensuring operational spend is contained within agreed constraints
  • Be the contract owner for local O&M contract types to be implemented in Greece
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the TAP Training & Competence Assurance system ensuring alignment and synchronicity with the adjacent DESFA system
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of Document Control for all work documentation, procedures, instructions etc.
  • Ensure the Greek Licence to Operate requirements are met
  • Responsible for all TAP O&M activities and issues specific to Greece assets
  • Provide TAP focal point for the coordination and management of all issues related to the construction and implementation of the TAP Field Services Strategy
  • Timely and effective recruitment and mobilisation of TAP O&M resources within Greece to deliver O&M performance metrics
  • Key member of the Incident Response Team (as defined in the Emergency Response Plan)
  • Ensure realistic TAP O&M environmental targets are set and subsequently achieved within Greece : emissions and carbon trading
  • Support design and delivery of the TAP Integrated Safe System of Work (ISSoW) across TAP Host-Countries
  • Represent Operations in the successful development and testing of the pipeline control systems
  • Support the transition from Projects to Operations during commissioning and handover
  • Manage interfaces with Greek local stakeholders along the pipeline during operation phase
  • Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical,Electrical or Chemical Engineering
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Engineering (possibly Commercial related)
  • Active Member of TCG (Technical Chamber of Greece)
  • Technologies

  • Control Systems (SCADA, DCS etc)
  • SAP for Maintenance
  • Microsoft Office
  • Expert Know-How

  • Expert in remote location facilities management
  • Expert in general O&M activities
  • Turbomachinery operations & maintenance
  • Pipeline operations & maintenance
  • Pipeline inspection & asset integrity
  • Fiscal measurement of hydrocarbon gas
  • Language Skills

  • English (business fluent written and spoken)
  • Greek (fluent written and spoken)
  • Professional Experience

  • Minimum 20 years of experience in general O&M environments
  • At least 15 years of experience in an international O&M environment
  • Proven track record of leading experience (at least 10years)
  • Project & Management Experience

  • Applied project related experience representing Operations
  • Experience from other international gas pipeline projects an advantage
  • Ability to work with international teams in a matrix organisation, across multiple countries
  • Competences

  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation / writing skills
  • Excellent personal and intercultural skills, international experience an advantage
  • Ability to influence and present to executive level
  • Strong focus on delivery and excellence
  • Resilient, be able to work under pressure (time and quality)
  • Team spirited able to work as part of wider teams within Head Office and with the Country Offices
  • Disciplined, high level of organisation
  • Ability to swiftly adapt to and deal with fast shifting priorities
