Our Technology Intelligence and Performance department is continuously growing, supporting clients of all different sizes across many different sectors and is currently seeking to employ system administrator.
The key responsibilities of the System administrator will include :
Install and configure software and hardware
Manage network servers and technology tools
Set up accounts and workstations
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshoot issues and outages
Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
The person we’re looking for needs to have :
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup / recovery
Ability to create scripts in Bash or Perl
Familiarity with various Linux distributions
Experience with cloud service provides like AWS, Azure and Google cloud
BSc / Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certifications is a plus
The following skill will be considered a plus :
Experience with deploying, managing and improving existing and new infrastructures, while utilizing any of the following : Kubernetes, Docker, datacenter virtualization using VMWare ESXi, SQL and no-SQL databases, HDFS both on-premises and in cloud environments.
Experience with maintaining and improving continuous integration and continuous delivery systems while utilizing automation and other tools like Jenkins, git, testing frameworks and repository managers (like Artifactory).
Experience with Microsoft Servers and / or certification as Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
