At AstraZeneca Greece, we have an opening for a Brand Manager in the Diabetes therapeutic area and responsible for Forxiga Family and Bydureon in Diabetes with main focus on Specialists.

Brand Manager plays a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on patients’ lives.

The incumbent will be leader and responsible for planning and executing the external strategic plan with key customers for our product.

This position will report directly into the Business Unit Director CVRM and will work in close partnership with cross functional partners including field sales, medical, market access and other functions and lead the Brand Team of Diabetes in order to ensure we have a strong market presence.

Key Accountabilities include :

  • Understands and articulates the Diabetes patient’s perspective from the moment of diagnosis and throughout their journey.
  • Uses this and marketplace insight to deliver effective and competitive Strategic and Tactical Marketing plans

  • Ensures that strong external relationships within Diabetes are built and maintained
  • Leads the creation of innovative and highly effective Strategic brand plans for the Brands with increased focus on Specialists
  • Ensures engaging operational and tactical implementation of the Brand plan, analyzing, anticipating and, where possible, shaping marketplace changes and identifying and maximizing new growth opportunities
  • Implements a truly cross-functional account planning and customer engagement strategy for the Brand and regularly seeks cross-functional feedback to ensure it is functioning effectively and explore new and innovative approaches
  • Agrees and delivers upon Growth, Sales and Operational metrics, measurements and targets for the Brand
  • The successful candidate profile should :

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in scientific or business discipline
  • MBA preferable
  • 3+ years of strong marketing background in a large / mid-sized pharmaceutical market in the Diabetes therapeutic area
  • Experience of working within cross-functional business units
  • Strategic mindset, strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Understanding of Account Planning and Customer
  • Enterprise mindset and focus; strong process skills and ability to work in an organization with cross-functional teams
  • Effective stakeholder and relationship management experience; able to interact and build trusted relationships with multiple levels within and outside of AZ
  • Fluent in Greek and English
