The Position

SAP Expert in Finance and Controlling

JOB PURPOSE

Early 2018, Imerys has launched an ambitious internal transformation program to foster efficiency within the group : MAKE IT #1.

MAKE IT#1 Group wide digital transformation is reshaping Imerys Digital landscape, encompassing 5 pillars : a set of common language and processes, a global ERP Core Model S4 / Hana based, a common collaboration platform (GNOC, GSOC, unified WAN) and a common unified IT organization.

MAKE IT #1 aims at implementing common IT Tools for our business units / divisions. In order to enable seamless development and roll out of these new tools, Imerys IT involved from IT division centric organization to a regional IT platform (EMEA,APAC,US)

Within the Imerys group different ERP-systems are in use. The SAP Finance and Controlling Expert will be in charge of all of the ERP systems, SAP ECC6.

0, with different platforms for different business areas in different countries. Based in our Imerys offices in Athens (Greece), the SAP Finance and Controlling Expert is part of the EMEA IT RCC SAP Skill Center.

As part of this team, the SAP Finance and Controlling Expert is involved in the support of the current SAP systems, but also in the future global SAP S / 4HANA deployment and its linked processes and systems (eg.

Concur, Basware, Serrala, etc..)

JOB SCOPE / DIMENSIONS

  • Focus is on process and workflow design, the realization of SAP solutions and the end user support in the area of SAP Finance and Controlling and its environment, such as asset management and cost calculation.
  • In addition, knowledge of sub consequent modules, such as purchasing, sales, material management system and especially production is a must have for this position.

  • In addition to the requirements analysis and specification, the position covers the implementation of solutions based on ABAP or ABAP Objects as well as tests to ensure quality.
  • The ongoing development of solutions and support activities round off is in the area of responsibility of the SAP Finance and Controlling Expert.
  • Active participation of the S / 4HANA deployment in EMEA, including UAT, trainings and roll out
  • Supporting and steering different kind of projects within the SAP environment
  • By contributing to these responsible tasks, you contribute to ensuring that the IT landscape in the Imerys Group is always up to date.

    KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure FI / CO support for existing group EMEA SAP ECC6.0 platforms
  • Interact and work close with the business to elaborate solutions on existing issues
  • Interact with MAKE IT#1 Opera roll out team to ensure the integration with the SAP S4 / Hana core model.
  • Roll out projects designed by the group
  • Escalate in case of conflicts regarding several activities inside daily business and projects
  • Take responsibility for support level 2 and 3
  • Participate into Application DRP for the application portfolio he is in charge of, in conjunction with the respective business stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Create Exploitation manual documentation for EMEA industrial applications portfolio
  • INTERNAL & EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

    Inside the company

  • Hierarchically attached to the EMEA SAP Skill Center Manager
  • Regular interactions with other IT Departments, including EMEA Service department (infrastructure, other specific applications) and MAKE IT#1 team (Business Process Owners, Data Migration, Stream lead)
  • Address Group level IT representatives when necessary

    Education and Experience requirements

    Essential

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of professional hands-on experience with application management
  • Extensive experience implementing, migrating, managing, SAP ECC6.0 modules mentioned in tasks
  • ABAP and ABAP Objects knowledge
  • Strong business knowledge in Industrial environment
  • Analytical and holistic thinking - for transforming customer / user requirements into efficient solutions (considering Imerys SOD)
  • Affinity for new challenges and thus the willingness to become familiar with new technologies and issues
  • Have a good knowledge and understanding of application architecture
  • Dedicated, independent and responsible way of working - to achieve the set goals
  • Fluent in English
  • Desirable

  • Experience of working within a culturally diverse global company
  • Experience in multidisciplinary team management
  • Conversant in French or another European language (Italian for example) would be advantageous
