About the role

The Experimentation platform at Beat helps product teams drive innovation through continuous learning and improvement. It is one of the core platforms responsible for making sure that features we build are added to products based on well designed experiments.

It is not just a technical platform that enables experimentation, but also a platform that handhelds consumer teams throughout the creation, management and reporting phases of the experimentation.

We are looking for a seasoned product manager to join our fast-paced and transformational team to manage the expansion of this platform to all teams in Beat.

As a Product Manager, Experimentation, you will be responsible for owning and executing the Experimentation product strategy working closely with the engineering team, product peers, data scientists and other stakeholders.

You will work along with the designer to understand users’ needs and pain points, then build features in the platform to solve those, learning along the way.

You will evangelize the culture of hypothesis testing through conducting workshops for your peers. Your day-to-day work will influence and inform decision making across teams and domains, setting the gold standard for making sound data driven choices.

What you'll do day in day out :

  • Influence Experimentation platform’s product strategy and vision, conduct necessary research, build your product’s roadmap and oversee its execution
  • Define, measure, and monitor objectives and key results for the products within your scope
  • Drive innovation, research and experimentation across teams
  • Evangelise hypothesis testing and validation amongst your product and engineering peers.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to deliver usable products, owning the prioritisation, validation and execution.
  • Research and define, scope new opportunities, interfacing with data analysts, user researchers, and designers
  • Communicate and report overall status, key issues, solutions and plans for your product portfolio.
  • Be an advocate for your scope within your domain by keeping up to date with technology and competition, and within the product chapter with product excellence and best practices
  • What you need to have :

  • 2+ years of product management experience across consumer web / mobile, in marketplace or a related product
  • Proven track record of building user focussed product through iterative experimentation and delivery, and short release cycles
  • Focus and scientific excellence on data, experimentation and analytics to solve problems, and a track record of driving results through continuous improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially to communicate effectively with senior executives.
  • What is nice to have :

  • Previous experience working for or with experimentation frameworks
  • Previous experience in data science, statistics or closely related topics.
  • Experience working with tech heavy platforms
  • Experience evangelising experimentation across teams
