As an Area Sales Manager at Upfield you will have an exciting opportunity to develop your own customer plans, build strong relationships with team & customers and execute our strategy in order to grow our business.
You will be accountable for developing and delivering a win-win customer strategy and business plan, with the best execution to meet the business objectives.

You will aim to grow the business of the customer through our products in order to achieve our growth & profit business targets, and to grow our business ahead of the market.
You will develop and maintain strong and trustworthy relationships with clients.
You will provide team supervision and guidance, embed Upfield insurgent mindset to the team and ensure right implementation of the strategy.
You will monitor the performance of the sales team and motivating members to meet or exceed sales targets.
You will recruit, manage, train, and provide overall guidance to the sales team.
You will perform planning sales activities, market mapping and continuous clients visiting.
You will secure profitable sales growth in a triple win mindset (consumer, customer and Upfield).
You will continuously follow up, evaluate and optimize the business with the team & customers.
You will secure great launches and distribution build up of new products.
You will secure internal and external administration and communication.
You will demonstrate and apply our category and consumer understanding at our key customers.
You will regularly review sales data and create reports for sales managers.
You will develop and sustain long-term relationships with customers and keep up to date with products and competitors.
You will provide customer understanding to the entire business.
What is your background?
Bachelor degree is a must (in Economics, Management or Science)- A master’s degree or equivalent is an asset.
You have a proven track record of 3 years as supervisor / area manager, people management, category management or distributor management will be valued.
You are an ambitious, customer focused attitude combined with strong negotiating skills.
You have good understanding of business financials (P&L, value chain) and analytical skills.
You have outstanding negotiation and consultative sales skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Great communication and presentation skills.
You are hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and you have the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
You have good planning and organizational skills.
You have good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
You are able to travel frequently (depending on covid restrictions).
You are fluent in English (required).
