Global Innovation Delivery Center Poland , a large, growing delivery organization located in, offering high quality Applications Development and Applications Management Services to DXC Technology customers all over the world.

The Center’s portfolio covers full software lifecycle, including Applications Development; Applications Management, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Testing, Business and Systems Analysis.

The main technology focus is on Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence, Web and mobile solutions, ERP and CRM systems.

We are looking for :

Junior Application System Engineer

Job location : Poland, preferably Warsaw or remote

The successful candidate will join a delivery organization providing end-to-end IT Application Services to a major DXC client representing the financial sector in UK .

This role will primarily be focused on supporting and maintaining exiting systems, including implementation of bug fixes and minor functional or regulatory changes.

In the scope of contribution to software development projects, the role will offer participation in technical upgrade projects and modernizations in the bank’s application ecosystem.

The primary scope of responsibilities will include :

Delivery of 3rd level support for application integration layer,

Developing and maintaining required operational documentation,

Development, maintenance and deployment of support procedures within the support team to improve work quality

Development and deployment of automation scripts,

Collaboration with project teams on implementation of major changes, technical upgrades and new releases,

Gradually developing subject matter expertise for integration products to become team’s expert in that area

We require :

Knowledge of Linux operating system

Knowledge of PL / SQL

Willingness to work on Night Shifts (2-3 nights per month)

Ability to work both independently and in a team

Very good knowledge of written and spoken English

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills

We appreciate :

Knowledge of Java and other relevant technologies : XML, XPath, HTTP, JMS, SOAP, JDBC and / or Web Services

Knowledge of Bash Shell Scripting

Knowledge of CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible)
