The Agile Enterprise Solutions (AES) team represents the Digital Center of Excellence (CoE) for cloud infrastructure capabilities, providing foundational public and private cloud services to all business lines, globally across Pfizer.
AES is a high-performing team, focused on delivering secure, scalable, compliant, operationally viable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
The Cloud Optimization Specialist role will ensure customers are leveraging the full economic potential of the cloud through cost and engineering effectiveness.
This role will interface with Digital finance teams, Creation Center consumer groups, and external cloud service providers (e.
g. AWS) to effectively evaluate and manage cloud spend across the enterprise.
The Cloud Optimization Specialist will execute on a cloud optimization strategy that promotes a continuous efficiency mindset across the Pfizer Digital enterprise.
Responsibilities will include the creation of defined process methodology, continuous reporting of cloud usage and spend, identification and pursuit of optimization opportunities with consumers, and the use of cloud service provider features to control spend (e.
g. Reserved Instances, Savings Plans). The specialist will be tasked with the successful implementation of the strategy and provide continuous improvement feedback to ensure optimization objectives are obtained.
Working within Agile Enterprise Solutions is to be at the cutting edge of cloud technology within the context of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical organization, at a time when adoption of these technologies is increasing rapidly.
A strict adherence to data-driven approaches with a bias towards automation and tooling are required to sufficiently scale cloud optimization across Pfizer Digital.
